A montage of found analog footage from my school’s collection. A repetitive visual exploration of driving oneself mad over trying to ‘cleanse’ yourself of sins.

Created while learning how to edit on the Steenbeck for the first time. I practiced measuring frames and creating cuts as precise as possible in order to create a dream like rhythm.

I wanted to create a consistent pattern for the viewer to get lost in that mimicked a repetitive, destructive, thought process. There was an audio track added after the final cut but was unfortunately lost.

A quiet reflection on the passing of the seasons inspired by the Greek myth of Persephone.

Persephone wanders through a forest, noting the changes of winter that are starting to appear, before beginning her return to the underworld.

This was the first film I made completely collaboratively from start to finish and it was good to learn how to split up the process and still feel like I still had an equal say in the story.
