Editing

A montage of found analog footage from my school’s collection. A repetitive visual exploration of driving oneself mad over trying to ‘cleanse’ yourself of sins. 

Created while learning how to edit on the Steenbeck for the first time. I practiced measuring frames and creating cuts as precise as possible in order to create a dream like rhythm.

I wanted to create a consistent pattern for the viewer to get lost in that mimicked a repetitive, destructive, thought process. There was an audio track added after the final cut but was unfortunately lost.

The opening montage for a short film about an evil dentist. The footage was provided from my school for a course. 

Created for a class project focusing on continuity editing and montage. I focused on establishing a consistent rhythm to create a tense atmosphere. 

This was the first project where I’ve created a full soundscape from scratch and I worked on layering different ambient noises and sound effects
